MFL Perth Celebrates the 2021 Chinese New Year of the Golden Ox

Malaysian Food Lovers Perth ushered in the 2021 Chinese New Year of the Golden Ox with a big bang!

With 100 guests and over $7,000 in sponsorship from local businesses, the night was full of joy and laughter. 

In addition to exciting lion dancing (performed by the Kong Hing Koon group), explosive firecrackers, heart-wrenching lucky draws & intellectually stimulating food quizzes, we also unveiled a special dish: the world’s largest Prosperity Lobster Mountain…!

With 49.091kg of Western Rock Lobster, caught fresh right off the shores of Perth, it was a sight to behold! This dish was a huge hit with everyone in the room, as well as the 22,000-odd members that were following the event via the livestream, as it was kept under wraps right until the moment we unveiled it.
